Digital Design Warehouse

Authentise welcomes you to the Digital Design Warehouse!

Designed to streamline the sharing of digital designs, DDW provides a platform for the distribution and discussion of designs across organizations. By bringing data from various silos into full view across all teams, DDW can support your organization in developing additive manufacturing projects that are more cohesive.

Your organization may opt for a specific version of DDW depending on your company needs.

  • Light Mode enables everyone to upload any 2D and 3D file type with fully programmable additional characteristics to create their own personal library. These designs can be further examined with the use of third-party integrations like Castor, which evaluates the project’s viability for additive manufacturing, and Zverse, which facilitates the conversion from 2D to 3D.

  • Dark Mode does not include those third party integrations but has an “Order Now” functionality.

Getting Started

Navigate using the menu on the left hand side to access the different libraries below.

mceclip9.png

On the home page, you will see Recently Added Products to the Company Library. Products added to this library have been selected by your internal administration to promote through public display.

On the right, a snapshot of actions will be displayed including assignments, discussions, and comments. Examples of actions assigned by other users may include reviewing a given design, responding to comments attached to a model, and evaluating analysis scenarios.

Library Tiers

  • My Library: models an individual user has uploaded
  • Company Library: models selected by internal administration for public display
  • Administrator Library: all models any user has uploaded to their library

Administrator Role

As an administrator, you have access to the Administration tab of Users similar to managers in Authentise’s MES.

mceclip7.png

You also have the ability to add, remove, and update labels.

mceclip8.png

In Analysis Settings, you can control the settings used for the Initial Part Scenario analysis, which is generated when adding a Product to the library. These settings can be reconfigured in each Product by editing the Individual Part Scenario.

As an administrator, you are also able access the Administrator Library as well as promote or move models from a user’s personal library to the Company Library. By doing so, administrators play an important role in promoting the models and products that exist in individual libraries and allowing anyone in the company to review and order if necessary.

Uploading Products

When uploading a product to your Library, you will be prompted to upload a STL or CAD file before selecting the base material and model file units. You may also convert 2D drawings to 3D files using the Replace button below. Note: Support for Assemblies is not switched on in the Warehouse at present. It’s only available in Authentise’s Workflow Manager.

After the model has been uploaded, an Analysis Scenario will be created that factors in the model file, material originally specified for this object, expected annual quantity to produce it, and expected years of demand. This Analysis Scenario will identify whether the object is printable, its cost range, printing time, and any alternative options.

Click the box on the right to access a highlight of the results, including Summary, Cost Analysis, Geometry Analysis, and Material Analysis.
